Canadian poker fans rejoice because Daniel Negreanu has confirmed his participation in this year’s Super High Roller Bowl.
While Negreanu may be the Canadian favourite to win, he will face off against reigning champ, Christoph Vogelsang and previous winner, Brian Rast. The event will feature its typical 48 spots, and the first 30 gambler names are already available. Among them are the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Igor Kurganov.
The event, presented by the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and Poker Central, commences in May with a buy-in of US$ 300 000. With such hefty buy-in, participants can look forward to a prize pool that will most certainly exceed US$14 million!
The Super High Roller Bowl has never had a Canadian winner, could Daniel Negreanu change this? We’re certainly hopeful! His performance for the first quarter of the year has been stable. He scooped just over US$1 million from various gambling tournaments in the past two months.
